In order to put to bed the issue of why I am so upset with Singer Annie Lennox, to stop the rumors I thought I'd tell you exactly "Why?" (No Pun Intended). I have been a fan of Annie's for as long as I can remember and cannot fault her musically and up until recently had every respect for her as a so called Humanitarian. My support of her was well publicized as I agreed with most of her platform.

Since the conflicts escalated between Israel and Gaza mostly due to the involvement of HAMAS an Islamic Terrorist group, Annie seems to have used the situation to spill anti-Semitic bile on her Social Media pages. It has been suggested that her objection is more to do with her feelings towards ex husband, Producer Uri Fruchtman than the actual conflict itself.

Whilst I am Pro-Israel I am saddened by any loss of life, especially that of children. To base your final analysis of the situation both Israeli's and Gazan's are facing on the number of dead children in either camp, is nothing short of lunacy. To react based upon the watered down, baseless
opinions you have read is a oddity too in my book took, Whatever happened to researching a situation and verifying allegiances of organizations that misrepresent, like The BBC?

In simple terms this conflict is not between Israel and Gaza, it is between HAMAS and everybody else. How anyone can be pro HAMAS is alarming to say the least when they are even killing Gazan's who disagree their ideologies and raping their children on the streets. No ceasefire can work if just one side ceases to fire. It has to be enforced by both sides in any conflict and to store your armories in schools and built up areas in order to not be fired upon is damn cowardice.

This is all before we even get to the tunnels built with money donated to assist Gazan's in their time of need. Using those tunnels for surprise attacks on Israelis is yet again more than cowardice but what do we expect from HAMAS? They kill anyone who disagrees with them and clearly have a fabulous PR Machine as they manage to make Israel look like the aggressors for merely defending themselves! How dare Israel defend themselves from terror attacks? Of course HAMAS are not Islamic and neither are Hijabs.

So where does Annie Lennox come into this whole debacle I hear you ask? Well Annie the Humanitarian has been so anti about Israel and pro HAMAS and Gaza it is really a major concern. Disagreeing with Annie's position I have commented on her pages and have politely disagreed. We should not all have to agree as we live in countries were we have freedom of speech. When anyone in my thread is spouting hate and propaganda I will stand up to them as I did with Annie.

What was her response to a loyal fan who wanted to enter into "Civil Discourse" on the issues she was presenting as fact? To send me a private message? NO! To respond and ask me why I disagreed? NO! Her response was to ban from commenting on her pages. Clearly we can buy her C.D but we cannot disagree. To add insult to injury she also asked INSTAGRAM to remove the picture above as it was hurtful to her. Well Annie it is hurtful to me that you display antisemitism and use your platform to hate and they say the truth hurts.

In conclusion I would ask that you don't hate Annie for her behavior or be rude to her for her ignorance or that would make you as bad as her. We do NOT all have to agree on every mute point, however we do have to stand up to ignorance or we become complicit in that which we are trying to have an effect on changing. I am praying for peace and I hope Annie gets to see this and is prompted to examine herself further.
